Our Journey
Founded by Terry Torres, a professional with an impressive background of 10 years in Civil Engineering Drafting, three years in Structural Engineering Drafting, and over 23 years in Architectural Drafting, U/R Simple was born from real-world necessity.
After leaving Heney Dong & Associates, AIA, in 2016, Terry started his own Professional Commercial Drafting Services, “TBT Drafting Services, Inc.” located in the heart of the City of San Fernando, California. His work with several Commercial Building Owners led to a growing need for accurate, Usable and Rentable square footage calculations.
The traditional method of calculating square footage using a notepad and calculator was tiring, error-prone, and time-consuming. The lack of existing solutions led Terry to invest in creating a tool to speed up calculations and make them more efficient.
